Kinkade’s paintings are worthless schmaltz and the lamestream media that love him are wrong. However I’d love to see a museum mount a small show of Kinkade’s work. I would like the art world and the wider world to argue about him in public out in the open.
I learned more stuff in church than I did in the world.
I’ve tried everything other than jumping out of a plane but nothing gives you an adrenaline rush like racing a car.
When I was in college I was debating to try my hand at show business or to become a professor. I just thought of the risk of not going into show business and always wondering if I would’ve had a chance. Because that’s where my real heart was.
I love where I’m from. I don’t live there because of the circumstances but all my family is there. It’s what’s inside it’s not what’s outside that determines the culture and the feeling.
Whoever incites anger has a strong insurance against indifference.
My dad tells me that he took us to a pantomime when I was very very small – panto being a sort of English phenomenon.
